Kate Middleton is in a jolly mood after completing chemotherapy.
The princess, 42, is set to host her annual Christmas carol service in December despite battling cancer since the beginning of the year, PEOPLE confirmed on Wednesday.
Middleton reportedly held a meeting at Windsor Castle on Tuesday with members of her team from Kensington Palace and the Royal Foundation to start planning the concert, called “Together at Christmas.”
The meeting was listed in the court circular, a formal record of the royal family’s duties, and published by the UK newspaper The Times.
The entry read, “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held a Meeting at Windsor Castle.”
Middleton, her husband Prince William, and their kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, are all expected to be at this year’s Christmas carol service.
The annual event, which began in 2021, takes place at Westminster Abbey and is broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve.
The bash highlights charities that are important to Middleton and William, 42.
Last year, other members of the Firm showed up to the concert to support the Prince and Princess of Wales, including Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips’ two daughters, Savannah and Isla, as well as Princess Beatrice and her stepson Christopher Woolf.
Middleton recently returned to work following her completion of preventative chemotherapy for cancer.
“I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she wrote in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Sept. 9.
“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
“Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life,” the royal added.
Days after the announcement, Middleton returned to her work duties and met with the Early Years organization, which aims to give children a better start in the first five years of their lives.
Health permitting, Middleton is planning to carry out “a handful” of duties in the coming months, according to The Times.
She made her first public appearance after finishing chemo on Sept. 22 at a church near her and William’s Balmoral estate in Scotland. The couple were joined by King Charles III, who also has cancer, and Queen Camilla.
Middleton shocked the world with her cancer reveal in March following months of speculation about why she hadn’t been seen in public.
She was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing major abdominal surgery at the London Clinic in January.
Middleton spent months laying low after the diagnosis, before making a few public appearances that signaled she was on the mend. She went to the Trooping of the Colour ceremony on June 15 followed by the Wimbledon Gentleman’s Singles Final a month later.
